Bus operator hires new MD to head NSW

Transit Systems – which provides bus services to three capital cities – has appointed Rino Matarazzo as the managing director of its New South Wales division.

Matarazzo brings more than four decades of leadership experience in the public transport sector, industry knowledge, and proven operational expertise. Previously general manager operations for bus service operator CDC NSW, Matarazzo has also held various executive roles at Sydney Trains and RailCorp.

Transit Systems group executive Mark Peters said Matarazzo has built a distinguished career across rail, bus, and government operations, demonstrating a strong focus on customer experience, stakeholder engagement, and service delivery excellence.

Transit Systems operates bus services in Sydney (as Transit Systems NSW), Adelaide (as Torrens Transit), and Perth (as Swan Transit and Go West).
