Booka, developed by Canberra-based firm Rollercoaster Digital, is designed to help users manage bookings for public meeting spaces, car parks, camping grounds, gyms, sports facilities, libraries and performance venues and other local assets.

It’s currently used by more than 4,300 customers and 3,400 public facilities.

Civica will integrate Booka into its suite of cloud-based GovTech offerings including its local government platform Authority Altitude.

Civia’s APAC Executive Director Ben Cowling said the acquisition would complement and enhance the company’s existing local government products.

“By integrating booka’s innovative facilities management solution into our leading Authority Altitude platform, we are enabling local authorities to streamline their operations, freeing up more time for deeper community engagement and the improvement of services for citizens,” he said in a statement.
