In Australia just over half of all yearly new vehicle registrations are to fleets, which represent a significant investment for most orgaqnisations.
In fact the cost of holding and running a fleet is usually the third highest expense for an organisation behind salaries and building costs.
To a large extent the way fleet management is viewed by the organisation is shaped by a corporation's internal politics. Many organisations, sadly not all, have a dedicated fleet manager.
Often the fleet manager is seen as the person who deals at a strategic level with the company's transport needs while protecting the organisation at both a financial and risk level. Read More>>
