Expressions of interest: major works program

By Staff Writer

Moorabool Shire Council in Victoria is seeking expressions of interest from individuals and firms to co-ordinate the implementation of a major works program along Bacchus Marsh’s famous Avenue of Honour.

The applicant will require a sound understanding of local government processes and broad knowledge of a range of issues, such as tree management, statutory planning and civil engineering.

Community engagement will also be an essential part of the works program. Terms and conditions of engagement will depend on the skills and experience of the successful applicant.

Work will primarily be based around Moorabool Shire’s Avenue of Honour Management Plan and Gateways Strategy, funded by a Federal Government Department of Tourism grant.

Expressions of interest close Friday 20 March 2009.

For further information contact Moorabool Shire Council manager – strategic and sustainable development, Michael McCarthy on (03) 5366 7100 or visit the Moorabool Shire Council website.
