Uber exec appointed to Aus Post Board

e-Commerce and tech-startup executive Dr Jodie Auster has been appointed to the Australia Post Board.

Dr Auster is currently strategic advisor to Uber’s global CEO and previously held the position of Regional General Manager of Uber Eats in the Asia Pacific.

She will serve a three year term as a non-executive director to the Australia Post Board, Communications minister Michelle Rowland announced on Thursday.

Dr Auster, who began her career as a medial professional and management consultant, has also held senior roles with daily deal company Scoopon Australia and US home services website Thumbtack.

Ms Rowland says Dr Auster’s experience in eCommerce and delivery would bring a new perspective to the Australia a Post Board.

“I congratulate Dr Auster on her appointment and look forward to working with the Board to support Australia Post adapt to changing consumer trends,” she said in a statement.
