Queensland councils have until Friday to share their thoughts on the review of the state’s local government electoral system.
The Law, Justice and Safety Committee is conducting a review of the local government electoral system and is due to report to the Legislative Assembly by November 2010.
The committee is currently seeking submissions on matters within the review’s terms of reference, including: local government divisions; the conduct of elections; requirements and conduct of election candidates; voting and voting systems.
Submissions close on Friday 30 July 2010.
