Senior ANAO executive Bola Oyetunji has been appointed as the next NSW Auditor-General.
My Oyetunji, who is currently an executive director at the Australian National Audit Office, will take over from Margaret Crawford.
Ms Crawford ends her term in April.
He brings with him extensive executive leadership experience in strategy development, governance, data analytics, finance, accounting and auditing spanning Commonwealth, State and Local government.
His former roles include Group Executive Director – Financial Statements Audit Service Group and Group Head – Systems Assurance and Data Analytics Group at ANAO.
He has also worked for EY Sydney and Deloitte Australia.
NSW Premier Chris Minns has welcomed Mr Oyetunji to the new role.
“Mr Oyetunji’s experience across all levels of government will be highly valued in his new role,” he said.
“Under Mr Oyetunji, the Audit Office will continue to ensure public money is used to achieve the best outcomes for NSW.
The Premier thanked Ms Crawford for the many significant reviews she and her team have led over the past eight years.
