The Hills Shire Council’s David Reynolds has joined LGNSW as the peak’s new CEO, replacing Scott Philips.
Prior to serving as Group Manager Shire Strategy for five years at the Hills, Mr Reynolds worked a three-year stint at Camden Council where he was Director Customer and Corporate Strategy.
LGNSW President Darriea Turley commended Mr Reynolds on his extensive experience and drive for excellence.
“Very importantly, his commitment to further building the positive culture within LGNSW will make him a terrific leader and colleague for the team at LGNSW,” she said.
“I am especially glad that we have been able to fill this position from within the local government sector and I am confident that David will be a great fit for the organisation.”
Aviation exec joins appointed to transport safety investigator
Experienced pilot and aviation executive Peter Wilson will take on a role with the Australian Transport Safety Bureau (ATSB) Commission.
Mr Wilson has accumulated around 17,500 professional flying hours over a career of almost 30 years at Qantas Airways, along with senior leadership roles at Virgin Australia and Tiger Air.
His experience at Australian airlines has included technical managerial roles, Chief Pilot, General Manager and Chief Operating Officer
Transport minister Catherine King said Mr Wilson would bring high levels of technical expertise, experience and credibility across the aviation industry to his new role.
“This appointment ensures that the ATSB’s Commission continues to have high levels of experience across rail, maritime and air transport – the three modes of transport for which they have investigatory responsibility,” she said in a statement.
