The Department of Defence, regional manager for defence support, Northern Territory and Kimberley, Anne Bradford has been recognised at the 2006 Telstra Australian Business Woman of the Year awards.
Ms Bradford won the National Hudson Community and Government Award, which is for employees of government departments, statutory bodies and not-for-profit organisations.
Bradford manages over 1300 employees across 92 defence sites, providing a range of administrative and technical services. Most recently, she was involved in overseeing the provision of services and support for peacekeeping operations in East Timor.
In 2000/01, Ms Bradford was the national manager learning and development for the National Crime Authority where she was responsible for developing and implementing a workforce capability framework for training, professional learning and staff development.
The Telstra Business Women’s Awards acknowledge and celebrate the achievements of extraordinary Australian business women.
