Local councils to clean up minor pollution
The Queensland parliament has passed laws making both local councils and the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) responsible for monitoring and remedying pollution. Under the environment amendment bill, councils will manage nuisance and minor water pollution, while the EPA will focus on more serious cases.
