NSW police minister quits

New South Wales Police Minister Matt Brown has quit only three days into his new portfolio following allegations of inappropriate behaviour during a wild party in his Parliament House office three months ago.

Originally published in The Australian newspaper’s website, the allegations suggest Mr Brown danced in his underpants on a Parliament House sofa, and simulated a sex act with Wollongong MP Noreen Hay during a late-night party three months ago.

Ms Hay has denied the allegations.

NSW Premier Rees moved quickly to replace the disgraced minister, announcing Tony Kelly, the Minister for Industrial Relations, Emergency Services and Lands would take on the portfolio in addition to his current responsibilities
