Cydarm, an Australian cyber resilience firm, has built a case management platform for security teams to collaborate and respond to cyber incidents.
Founded in 2017, the initial aim of the company was to use cloud technology primarily to maintain internal infrastructure.
However, as the business grew, the importance of a secure, sovereign cloud, which is built to deliver security and data access in according with regulations, became apparent.
Cydarm saw an increased need by customers for secure cloud solutions to protect vital data at the highest level.
Co-founder and CEO Vaughan Shanks says cybersecurity is a “team sport” and effective communication is needed across different domains of expertise.
“In order to provide the best possible service to our customers, we needed to ensure we were providing the most secure data sovereignty possible,” he says.
“Today’s customers expect trusted solutions when it comes to their data security, and Vault helps us deliver just that.”
Since working with Vault Cloud, Cydarm has configured and migrated its customer data to Vault’s secure, sovereign cloud, and it now operates at four times its original data storage capacity.
In less than a month, Cydarm was able to train its reliability engineers and induct them onto Vault’s systems.
Vault Cloud is based in Australia and this has made a big difference to Cydarm.
“The fact that all of Vault’s support engineers are Australian, live in Australia and have an NV1 security clearance were major selling points for us, and help instill confidence among our customers,” Mr Shanks says.
“Not only does Vault provide us with the sovereign capabilities needed to deliver our solutions securely within Australia, we trust the team to be there when we need them.”
