Fast growing digital services consultancy RXP Services has launched a cloud data analytics platform aimed specifically at Australian Government agencies. It is called the Government Data Analytics platform (G-DAP), and is designed to help agencies to “manage data collection, aggregation, integration and information reporting that can better inform decision making and improve business intelligence.”

The platform has been built in collaboration with technology vendors Vault Systems, MapR, Tableau, Mulesoft and Collibra. RXP says the release follows a two year roll out with an unnamed government agency.

Melbourne based RXP Services is an ASX listed company founded in 2011. It has grown quickly through acquisition in recent years, recently spending $25 million to buy Sydney based creative digital agency The Works. It has had a number of important government contracts, including an overhaul of NSW Family and Community Services data analysis tools.

It has over 700 employees and a market capitalisation of over $100 million. Revenues last year were $141 million. It is run by former Telstra executives John Pittard (chairman) and Ross Fielding (CEO). It has offices in Melbourne, Sydney, Canberra, Hobart and Hong Kong.

G-DAP is available as an in-house package application ort as a cloud based Software-as-a-Service for Australian Government organisations wanting a consolidated end to end data management and analytics platform. G-DAP is built on Vault System’s cloud infrastructure, one of four cloud service providers to achieve Australian Signals Directorate’s (ASD) Protected certification level (the others are from Dimension Data, Macquarie Telecom’s Macquarie Government, and Sliced Tech).

Stephen Wayne, national practice director at RXP said: “Advances in technology has seen the rapid growth of IT systems and associated big data. Business leaders are now challenged with the task of making major decisions that require accurate and timely insight.

“G-DAP has been developed to provide government agencies with a fully integrated and secure cloud data analytics solution, is fully configurable to client needs, and will embed a strong governance and auditing capability, thus adhering to current regulatory and breach reporting requirements.”
