Architects, planners, designers, engineers, builders and politicians from Australia and across the globe will converge on Melbourne for a the three day conference addressing the city’s greatest design challenge – how to make Melbourne a truly sustainable city.

Hosted by the City of Melbourne from February 14-16, EcoEDGE 2 will present global case studies for discussion focusing on green urban design; green urban energy systems; green housing; and green government.

Some of the world’s leading sustainability experts in tackling the economic, aesthetic and ethical dimensions in making sustainable cities, will be featured at the conference.

Case studies include an ambitious zeronet city in Kazakhstan, whole water systems for developing countries, transport policies in New York and innovative buildings that not only reduce waste and energy but contribute back to the grid.
