The Murray-Darling Basin Authority has put out a tender for its Slipstream Ministerial Workflow System to handle production issues, changes, enhancements and testing.

Slipstream is a ministerial workflow solution that automates and manages this critical aspect of government business.

As well as workflow capabilities; the system incorporates directory services; an electronic document management system; scanning capabilities; reporting capabilities; and integration with Microsoft Word.

The Authority requires technical support services for the Slipstream Ministerial Workflow System, including but not limited to; general slipstream administration and directory support.

In its tender, the Authority stated, actual support requirements will be dependent on business development and no minimum contract value is guaranteed.

“However, respondents should indicate their ability to provide one person-day per week in support of the system on average,” The Murray-Darling Basin Authority stated.

The Services will be required for an initial term of 12 months from the date of execution of the contract and the authority reserves the right to extend the term, upon expiration of the initial term, for up to two further periods of 12 months each.

The Murray–Darling Basin Authority was established under the Water Act 2007 and operates as Commonwealth Government agency that is responsible for planning integrated management of the water resources of the Murray–Darling Basin in the national interest.

Its main roles and responsibilities include; preparing the Basin Plan for adoption by the Commonwealth Minister for Climate Change, Energy Efficiency and Water; implementing and enforcing the Basin Plan; advising the Minister on the accreditation of state water resource plans; developing a water rights information service which facilitates water trading across the Basin; measuring and monitoring water resources in the Basin; gathering information and undertaking research; and educating and engaging the community in the management of the Basin's resources.

The Authority is made up of six members who are supported by an office of around 300 staff.
