The OTEK Sustainable Risk Rationalisation (SRR) Conference – An International Learning Experience has successfully developed over the past three years as a unique event providing a practical hands on approach to reducing risks created by the redevelopment of Brownfield or, more commonly named, polluted sites.
The OTEK SRR Conference 2010 focuses on realities, not theories.
Delegates will hear from twenty nine leading experts in their field drawn from Australia, China and the USA. This includes Terry Tamminen, the man who made Arnie Schwarzenegger change his environmental ways and his gas guzzling Hummers, and one of China’s environmental protection experts, Sun Yichao along with the former BP Global Technical Assurance Manager for Remediation Management, Ric Scofield to name just a few who will present.
There are a series of Government and public sector presentations. In addition to the Californian Government’s advisor Terry Tamminen, the presentations include Tom Graze from VicUrban, Dr Paul Vogel, Chairman of the Environmental Protection Authority WA and Innes Willox, Director of International and Government Relations for the Australian Industry Group. There is also a truly international legal and project case study perspective on the environmental issues surrounding these polluted site developments.
