Tennant Company today announces the release of two ground-breaking and world first products for city cleaning: The Energy Efficient Gum Removal Vehicle (GRV) and the Zero Emission Compact Sweeper (500ze). These new products are an extension of Tennant Company’s already extensive range of City Cleaning equipment which includes the Green Machine, Tennant and GRV brands exclusively. The Energy Efficient Gum Removal Vehicle (GRV)

The Gum Removal Vehicle (GRV), an Australian made and highly visible product is helping to ‘educate’ the public and ‘eradicate’ the problem of chewing gum and minor litter.

Energy efficient, the GRV is a solar powered 48 volt battery operated electric vehicle that uses the worlds best practice steam machine to remove chewing gum at a rate of up to 700 pieces per hour using only three litres of water.

The GRV not only destroys gum but can clean and sanitise toilets, showers, street furniture and bins, remove posters and some graffiti, kill weeds and vacuum up cigarette butts, adding a new dimension of versatility to any city cleaning program.

Zero Emission Compact Sweeper (500ze)

The first in a new generation of electric Sweepers, Tennant’s Green Machine 500ze is a zero emission compact sweeper powered by innovative Lithium-ion technology to sweep a hard-working 8 hour non-stop shift without recharging. This significant step for carbon emission reduction means totally clean air operation perfect for enclosed or crowded pedestrian areas. Virtually silent in transit, the 500ze enables operation in noise sensitive areas. Combine this with remarkably low running costs and Green machines’ specialist engineering expertise and you’ll appreciate its environmental significance.
