Now that most of the global financial crisis is behind us, why not look for the opportunities to help small and medium sized businesses (SMB’s) take advantage of technology and save money?

One of those is the opportunity that digital telephony or Voice over IP (VoIP) technology provides to reduce costs and boost the bottom line. VoIP is synonymous with reduced costs via cheap or free phone calls.

As a result, VoIP telephones are rapidly replacing conventional analog phone systems in homes, large enterprises and SMB’s.

“These systems, such as D-Link’s VoiceCenter™, is based on Microsoft Response Point software, offering improved functionality and ease of use at a substantially lower price point.

It is easier to set up and enables any company with basic networking knowledge to customise a telephone solution in a matter of hours. Changes to basic and advanced preferences can be handled by users via an easy to use software interface.

Phone extensions can follow employees as they move around the premises without rewiring and they are more functional.

All the usual office telephone features are supported, plus voice commands, voice dialing and a voice automated receptionist.

Users can reach anyone in their company directory or Microsoft Outlook® address book by simply saying their name.

They can transfer, put on hold and retrieve calls the same way, or via their telephone keypads. Voicemail to e-mail forwarding is also supported.

D-Link trained and accredited resellers to ensure they have the skills to meet the expected demand from SMB’s.
