Rockdale City Council in New South Wales recently contracted SNP Security to install a state-of-the-art CCTV security surveillance system for the local community.

In addition to increased safety, the new hi-tech system was installed at relatively low cost due to the innovative way in which SNP Security integrated the existing surveillance systems with the new solution.

The previous system had reached its full capacity and was producing poor picture quality, it was possible however to re-use some of the existing equipment and overlay it with new technology creating a ‘future-proof’ and easily-expandable solution.

SNP installed new AXIS Video Servers (encoders) to convert the signal from analogue to digital which then is transmitted via a new wireless network with the receiver located on the top of the Novotel hotel.
