WA TRANSPORT INFRASTRUCTURE SUMMIT
22-23 September
WA Transport Infrastructure Summit
The Duxton Hotel, Perth
While the Western Australian Government is heavily investing in rail and port capacity driven by the resources boom, its population influx has engendered another problem, urban congestion. Evaluating the latest infrastructure projects and developments, the WA Transport Infrastructure Summit will discuss the continued implications of resource industry growth, new investment models, strategic operational management and regulatory developments in the transport industry.
The summit will raise and answer the questions such as:
• How can the transport sector balance short-term commercial industry objectives with the Government’s long-term sustainability plan?
• How do we keep socially responsible transport modes, such as rail, operating if they cease to be competitive or remain caught in legislative debates?
• How can timely transport infrastructure development promote the growth of WA business and industry?
• What are the mechanisms required to address a better transport modal split to avoid congested supply chains?
• Are the current funding methods employed in WA suitable for continues economic progression?
