ANZSOG ANNUAL CONFERENCE: MAKING FEDERALISM WORK

11-12 September
ANZSOG Annual Conference: Making federalism work
Crown Promenade Hotel, Melbourne

With the Federal Government aiming to drive the COAG reform agenda and several historic COAG meetings unfolding, achieving more effective partnerships at a Commonwealth-State level and relations between all tiers of government has become a crucial factor in effective federalism.

Taking a longer-term yet practical view, this two-day ANZSOG conference will examine key challenges of federalism and seek to propose workable strategies for achievable outcomes.

Politicians, top executives and policy leaders from each jurisdiction and sector have offered to present at the conference.  Confirmed speakers include Federal Treasurer Wayne Swan, Victorian Premier John Brumby, SA Premier Mike Rann, chair of Infrastructure Australia Sir Rod Eddington and Terry Moran from the Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet.

Also featured will be eight opening presentations and panel sessions with the audience.
