NATIONAL PRIA CONFERENCE
13-14 October
NATIONAL PRIA CONFERENCE
The Esplanade Hotel, Fremantle, WA
One of the most dominant figures in British politics in the past decade, Alastair Campbell, is coming to Australia to address this year's National PRIA Conference.
Often described as the second most powerful figure in Britain, Campbell served as Director of Communications and Strategy for the former British Prime Minister, Tony Blair.
National PRIA President Tracy Jones said Campbell would be the International Keynote speaker at the opening session of the Conference in Perth on Monday, 13 October.
Mr Campbell was an integral figure in the decision making processes on major international crises like the war on terror, the peace negotiations in Northern Ireland, and the turmoil in Kosovo, Afghanistan and Iraq.
He was widely credited as helping to assist the Queen on public opinion after the death of Princess Diana. His years as principal strategist and press secretary to Tony Blair make fascinating reading in Campbell's recently published book, The Blair Years.
The National Conference will be held on Oct. 13 and 14 in The Esplanade Hotel, Fremantle.
The title is " The New Communicator" and the conference theme is "Expanding communication boundaries to meet the
needs of social change in Australian society".
