Individuals, companies and government bodies who have made a contribution towards environmental sustainability are being urged to nominate for this year's Banksia Environmental Awards.

The awards, in their 20th year, comprise 10 categories and recognise a diverse range of environmental achievement.

The Origin Gold Banksia Award is the most prestigious of the Banksia Awards presented each year. It is awarded to the individual or organisation which, in the judge's opinion, has made the contribution most worthy of extra recognition and acknowledgement.

The recipient is selected from the winners of the following categories:

• Education
• Water
• Land and Biodiversity
• Indigenous
• Community
• Local Government
• Business Sustainability
• Built Environment
• Eco Innovation
• Climate
